That is the foundation to find website traffic. People make the mistake of thinking that keyword research is only to do with SEO. But that is a fatal mistake!

If you are doing article marketing, then keyword research is going to help you. What should you put in your title? If you have a list of keyword phrases you are targeting, then you have half your subject lines already written! And, it's a similar thing with video marketing and other traffic methods. Plus, you should really have some kind of link building going on to your main sites. At least to your blog, your main money site and your top squeeze page.

Increase your web traffic with simple keyword reThe easiest way I know, to do keyword research, is also the one I use the most. Here's how to have a great list of keywords in a matter of a few minutes!

1.Get your main niche keyword and some associated keywords. For example, if you are
targeting the 'dog training' niche, decide on some sub phrases, such as 'dog training tips', 'dog training report' and 'puppy training'.
2. Now, go to the Google AdWords keyword tool. The easiest way to find it is to type 'AdWords keyword tool' into Google.
3. Enter in your list of niche keywords.
4. Click on 'Advanced options'.
5. Select 'Locations and languages' - generally I use 'All countries' and 'English'.
6. Then go to 'Filter keywords'.
7. Set to 'Global Monthly Searches' to be more that one thousand (>= 1000).
8. Then add another '+ Add another'.
7. Set to 'Competition' and check to 'Low' and 'Medium' boxes.
8. Add the captcha code and click 'Search'.

Now you have a whole list of keyword phrases, for your niche, with good search volume and only low to medium competition. You can select the keywords you want to use by checking the little radio button to the left of each keyword phrase. Then click the 'Download' button and select the format you wish the file to be. That's it! You've done some your website traffic research in a few minutes.
